The leader of Stand Up.BG Maya Manolova described the possible participation of BSP in a joint government with GERB as a "kiss of death". The National Council of BSP is currently holding a meeting to decide whether the party should become part of a government together with GERB and ITN. The cabinet is expected to be supported by DPS around Ahmed Dogan, since the votes of the three formations are not enough to form a parliamentary majority.
"We have always been clear - against any collaboration with GERB and DPS and we stated this unequivocally back in 2019. I hope that there are reasonable people in BSP who realize the danger of a coalition with GERB," she said.
Maya Manolova also said that her party is considering whether to leave the "BSP - United Left" coalition. The Bulgarian Spring party has already announced that if the BSP participates in such a government, they will leave the left-wing coalition.
