Weather forecast for 18 January

Sunny over the mountains, fog in the valleys

Saturday will be sunny in most parts of the country. In the lowlands and river plains of southern Bulgaria there will be fog or low clouds, which will clear by midday in most places. Lows will be between minus 6 and minus 1°C, with Sofia around minus 7°C. Highs will range from minus 5 to 10°C, in northern Bulgaria reaching 12-13°C. In places with persistent fog, they will remain lower - between 1° and 4°. In the capital it will be around 2 degrees.

In the mountains it will be sunny. A light north wind will blow. The maximum temperature will be 7°C at 1,200 m and around 2°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast it will be sunny with light winds from west-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be 8-10°C. The sea water temperature will be 8-9°C. The sea swell will reach 2-3.

On Sunday, the mountains and highlands will remain sunny, while in the lowlands and valleys fog or low clouds will persist before noon. Temperatures will remain the same.
