90 years of voices that shaped Bulgaria

BNR: from the beginning to now

A virtual multimedia exhibition presenting the history of the Bulgarian National Radio

On 25 January 2025, the Bulgarian National Radio will celebrate its 90th anniversary. The public broadcaster is organising a series of events to mark the occasion. A special programme today presents a multimedia project - a virtual exhibition, available on the BNR's website, which introduces the public to the BNR's history and voices.

The multimedia project combines the sound of radio with the visual memory of its creators, telling the story of the country's first electronic media. The project was prepared by Prof. Boyan Dobrev, lecturer at the National Academy of Arts, with the support of the Bulgarian National Radio Archive Fund, the State Archives Agency, the BTA and the Radio Museum.
