Over 400 competitors from 30 countries arrived in Plovdiv for the World Cup Women's and Men's Sabre. The event takes place from January 23 to 26. Olympic and world fencing champions will compete at the Kolodruma Sports Hall.
The competition began with the Individual Event- Sabre Women seniors to fill the main draw of 64 athletes. The Individual Event-Sabre Men seniors will take place on Friday (January 24). The direct eliminations (women and men) will be on Saturday. The men team event and the women team event will be held on Sunday (January 26).
