Bulgaria is among the leading countries in the world in coin exports, including to the USA

Bulgarian exports to the USA in 2023 are worth 1.1 billion dollars, and number 1 on the export list with a share of nearly 19 percent are "coins that do not have an official exchange rate, other than gold coins". This was reported by the Sega website and bTV, citing a report from the Ministry of Economy. 

The value of the exported coins is 212 million dollars.

In 2022, there was also an export of coins to the USA, but much more modest - worth 31.8 million dollars. According to data from the International Trade Center in Geneva, Bulgaria is among the leading exporters of coins in the world - having jumped from 25th place in 2022 to 6th place in the world in 2023.
