The initiative of the British Embassy Sofia ''Ambassador for a Day'' will be held for the eighth consecutive year under the auspices of Vice President Iliana Iotova, announced the press office of Bulgaria’s Head of State. The competition for International Women’s Day encourages young girls to express their views on important societal issues.

The winners will participate in the daily work of Vice President Iliana Iotova and the British Ambassador to Bulgaria, Nathaniel Kopsey. The competition is open to girls aged 15 to 19. Applicants must send a brief essay on the topic: "If you were an ambassador for a day, how would you promote gender equality in Bulgaria?" by February 16. More information about the initiative can be found on the Facebook page of the British Embassy Sofia.
