“We are happy to have the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology INSAIT, a bright light on the world map of AI,” said Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev during the presentation of the latest edition of EXPLORER – a programme that enables the country’s young talents in mathematics and computer science to stay in Bulgaria. The programme was launched by the institute INSAIT at the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia.

“INSAIT is a model for keeping talents in Bulgaria, but it is also a model for attracting talents from all over the world, for bringing Bulgarian scientists and students back to the country – to one of the best places in the world, and I firmly believe they are working in one of the best places for the development of AI,” Minister Valchev said, and went on that mathematics clubs and schools are key to the country’s role in the age of artificial intelligence in which deeper and more massive digital changes are yet to come.
