Vazrazhdane is renewing its initiative to ban the construction of photovoltaic and wind power plants on agricultural land owned by municipalities and the state. Speaking on the sidelines of the National Assembly, the party's deputy Daniel Petrov recalled that Vazrazhdane's project had been rejected two years ago on the grounds that the state was committed to the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive.

The draft law submitted by the party has been revised and adapted and will apply to permanent agricultural land, pastures, meadows and forests owned by municipalities and the state. The duration of the moratorium will be until a law or part of the Renewable Energy Act is drafted to control this process.
