New Bulgarian film The Therapy, premiered on February 7, has been selected for several international festivals in the US and Europe, reports BTA. Among them are the 78th edition of the International Film Festival in Salerno, Italy, and the 25th edition of the Santa Fe Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Stanislav Hristov, the film explores the timeless fear of criticism faced by artists. Krassimira Belev, the writer of this psychological drama-thriller, also stars as an eccentric psychologist who works with a group of creatively blocked artists. Her unconventional methods shock both the participants and the audience.

"The story is like an unfinished painting - a moment in life is captured, but the author is someone else, not us," say the filmmakers.
