The BSP-United Left coalition will propose a "stability budget" to help the country overcome its severe financial crisis. Coalition leaders have also discussed the possibility of creating a new state agency for disaster and emergency management, Deputy Prime Minister and acting BSP leader Atanas Zafirov announced.

In addition, the BSP-United Left has prepared legislative initiatives, including a proposal to introduce a cap on mark-ups on essential food products. If this proposal is not adopted, alternative measures will be implemented, including regulations to prevent unjustified price increases by retailers.

Some of BSP-UL's proposals will be incorporated into the 2026 budget. These include reforms to the tax system and measures to stimulate investment, with the aim of achieving economic growth above the European average, said Alexander Tomov, leader of the Bulgarian Euroleft.
