The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has not discussed the hypothesis of Bulgaria's possible participation in peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. This was stated to the media by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) Atanas Zafirov.
His comment is in response to President Rumen Radev's call for the National Assembly and the government to declare that Bulgaria will not send troops to Ukraine in any form. "I do not see what has changed for us to comment on such possibilities. No, there is no such hypothesis," Zafirov was categorical.
