Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He participated in the summit initiated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
Premier Zhelyazkov was adamant that there should be no peace negotiations for Ukraine without Ukraine and the EU. He pointed out that Kyiv must be given reliable and stable security guarantees, which are indispensable for any comprehensive, just and lasting peace on the European continent. According to him, "achieving peace by building strength is the strategy for putting Ukraine in the strongest possible position before peace negotiations".
