A serious restrictive and even repressive attitude among Bulgarian society on the current issues of school education and upbringing is shown by an independent poll by the sociological agency "Myara". It was conducted between January 29 and 31, 2025 among 801 adult Bulgarian citizens.

83.2% of Bulgarians are "for" a complete ban on mobile phones in school buildings, "against" - 14.7%.

The majority of opinions are similar on the topic of introducing a grade for student discipline - 84% are "for" and 13.2% are "against". 72.1% of respondents are "for" the introduction of uniforms everywhere among students, and "against" - 23.7%.

When asked to choose between two options - "There should be more freedom, creativity and respect for students' individuality in schools" or "There should be more discipline, demands towards students and respect for teachers in schools", 7% choose the first, 85.1% choose the second, and 7.7% hesitate.
