"We hope that by the end of next week, the calculations will be completed and the results will be submitted to the Constitutional Court", Central Election Commission (CEC) Deputy Chair Rositsa Mateva told public broadcaster BNT regarding the Constitutional Court's ruling to recalculate the results of the last parliamentary elections.

In order to carry out the recalculation, computers will be set up at the Central Election Commission today, and teams have already been assigned to input the protocols twice to avoid any mistakes, Rositsa Mateva added. She explained that CEC will not count ballots or check election papers and materials. "We will send the information to the Constitutional Court and it will make its decision", said Rositsa Mateva.

"Discrepancies, for example, are seen with invalid ballots – the protocol states 13, but the expert found 11. There are a few ballots that were found in the invalid ballot packages and the expert accepted them as valid", Rositsa Mateva further said, adding, "From what we have seen, I cannot in any way say that this is manipulation."
