Beekeepers and grain farmers call for suspension of wind farms in Dobrudzha

Bulgarian beekeepers', farmers' and grain growers' organisations have spoken out against the construction of wind turbines and photovoltaic plants on agricultural land, BNR's correspondent in Dobrich reports.

Beekeepers whose hives are located near the wind farms in the Kavarna and Shabla regions warn that their bees have suffered higher winter mortality over the past ten years since the turbines were built. They warn of an ecological disaster because the laws of nature and the pollination of agricultural crops are being disrupted. This is why the Dobrudzha Union of Grain Growers also opposes the construction of RES.

On 1 March, beekeepers in Dobrich will join the national protest of their colleagues in front of the Dobrotitsa sports hall in Dobrich.
