“A pair of storks, plus a solitary bird probably awaiting its partner, flew to the two nests next to the Holy Prophet Elijah church at dusk yesterday,” said Mayor Tatyana Georgieva. Six pairs of storks nested in the village last year. “However, this year the first birds were late in coming compared to last year, probably because it has been a cold February - we were getting worried,” Mayor Georgieva said.
