New Defense Innovation Center will coordinate Bulgaria's military industry

A Defense Innovation Center will be established in Bulgaria, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced at a government meeting.

The Bulgarian defense industry needs modernization in order to meet all the expectations that Europe's defense capabilities and capabilities oblige us to be at the height of today's international and geopolitical situation, the Prime Minister said.

"It is very important at the moment to coordinate Bulgarian industrial defense capabilities. This sector is so fragmented that we need to gather all the pieces of capacity that exist, and they are not small at all. That is why a Defense Innovation Center will be established," the Prime Minister commented.
