The play “Systemic Error 2052” will be presented in Sofia on March 7 as the premiere will take place at I am Studio theatre.

The play which aims to fight apathy and hate is inspired by the Forum Theater method of Brazilian director Augusto Boal, who in the 1960s created the so-called “newspaper theater” (the actors use newspaper articles).

The action revolves around real events from recent years – wars around the world, the lack of freedom of the press, political upheavals, the violation of human rights and, above all, apathy and hatred in society.

“The play moves from a one-man show to active communication with the viewer and turns him from an audience into an actor in order to provoke action as a counterpoint to the widespread apathy and “quick-turnover” hatred in the online society,” says the author of the project, Bogomil Shopov.
