North Macedonia's Health Minister Arben Taravari: Thank you, Bulgaria!

North Macedonia’s Minister of Health Arben Taravari and his Bulgarian counterpart Silvi Kirilov, together with the Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and North Macedonia, Georg Georgiev and Timco Mucunski, visited the citizens of North Macedonia who were injured in the fire in Kočani and admitted to the "Pirogov" emergency hospital in Sofia. 15 injured individuals were admitted to hospitals in Bulgaria- nine in "Pirogov", three in Varna and three in Plovdiv, Arben Taravari told journalists. Two of the patients in "Pirogov" have already been extubated, and the doctors' prognosis is good, Minister Taravari said.

''Bulgaria's Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov was the first health minister to call me on the phone", said Arben Taravari, as quoted by BGNES. He also thanked the Bulgarian state in the person of President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Bulgarian doctors, and all Bulgarians. "I would like to thank all Bulgarian people for their solidarity", Arben Taravari said.
Minister Taravari also announced that a crisis headquarters was set up at the Ministry of Health in Skopje, which is assessing whether there is a need to send more patients abroad for treatment.
