Astronomical spring arrives, temperatures will be on the rise

On Thursday at 11.01 a.m., astronomical spring will arrive. The minimum temperatures will be minus 5°C and 0°C. In Sofia, it will be around minus 3°C. In the morning hours, there will be conditions for reduced visibility in places in the plains. 

During the day, it will be sunny in most of the country. Over the eastern regions, cloudiness will remain significant more often. A light wind will blow from the north-northeast. 

Daytime highs on the first day of spring will be between 9 and 14°C, in Sofia - around 11°C.

It will be sunny in the mountains. A moderate wind will blow from the north-northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. will be around 6°C, at 2,000 meters - around 0°C.

There will be variable cloudiness along the Black Sea coast. Maximum air temperatures will be between 8-11°C.

It will be sunny on Friday. Temperatures will keep rising, with highs reaching between 10 and 15°C.

In the Balkans it will be mostly sunny, with temporary increases in cloudiness over the eastern regions.

In Athens and Bucharest it will be 14°C. In Belgrade it will be 16°C, in Istanbul it will be 10°C.
