China hopes to see more Bulgarian products on the tabl

Cooperation between Bulgaria and China in the field of agriculture and food is very active and is constantly expanding. This was stated at a meeting in Sofia between Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lozana Vasileva and Wan Lejun, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer at the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In 2023, agricultural and food trade between the two countries reached US$ 640.6 million, an increase of 37% compared to 2022. Bulgaria has initiated 39 procedures for the export of Bulgarian agricultural and food products to China, of which 11 have been finalised. 

Mr Wan Lejun stressed China's desire to strengthen relations between the two countries. He underlined the high quality of Bulgarian food products and expressed his hope that more and more of them will reach the tables of Chinese consumers.
