Pianist Kiril Kutin appointed Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Stavanger, Norway

An honorary consulate of Bulgaria has been opened in the city of Stavanger in the Kingdom of Norway. This was decided at a government meeting today. The consular district covers Rogaland (Stavanger), Vestland (Bergen) and Agder (Kristiansand). Renowned Bulgarian pianist Kiril Kutin has been appointed Honorary Consul.


"Mr Kutin is a world-renowned soloist who has performed on major stages in Europe, the Middle East and the USA, and has received numerous Bulgarian and international awards. He is exceptionally well received by the Bulgarian community in the region and is actively involved in supporting their activities. He has an unquestionable reputation among local authorities, business and cultural circles. His appointment as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Kingdom of Norway will strengthen our country's position in the region, support the Bulgarian community and have a positive impact on strengthening relations between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest," the Government Press Office said.
