Speaking to journalists in Parliament, GERB leader Boyko Borissov pointed out that joining the euro area is important for Bulgaria. He said that he welcomes any support in this direction from We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, Movement for Rights and Freedoms-New Beginning, The Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, and anyone who wants a rule-of-law and financially stable country.

Boyko Borissov added that until Bulgaria joins the Eurozone, he will show tolerance, but after that, his party's reaction will be quite different.

According to Boyko Borissov, by July Bulgaria should already have a convergence report for the Eurozone. The next budget should also be adopted, which by law should happen in September-October, Boyko Borissov said and added that only then will GERB's reactions become known.

Regarding the regulators, Borissov pointed out that ''there is not a single person affiliated with Peevski in them''. He further highlighted that only when Democratic Bulgaria accepts the fact that the winning party and its leader should lead the government, he will engage in negotiations with them.
