Bulgaria has the lowest labour costs among EU countries

Labor costs in the European Union in 2024 amounted to an average of 33.5 euros per hour, and in the eurozone countries alone - an average of 37.3 euros per hour. This is according to the latest data from the European statistical agency Eurostat.

Labor costs were the lowest in Bulgaria - an average of 10.6 euros per hour, followed by Romania - 12.5 euros and Hungary - 14.1 euros.

The highest labor costs in the EU were recorded in Luxembourg - an average of 55.2 euros per hour.
