No information about Bulgarians injured in Myanmar earthquake

There is no information about Bulgarian citizens injured in the Myanmar earthquake, which caused the collapse of a skyscraper in the Thai capital Bangkok, our Foreign Ministry reports. The Bulgarian Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam, is monitoring the development of the situation.

The Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a message to all Bulgarian citizens who have registered in Thailand through the “I am traveling for…” section on the ministry’s website. All those who responded have declared that they do not need assistance.

The ministry reminds that if assistance is needed, Bulgarians in Myanmar and Thailand can contact the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Hanoi at the following telephone number: +84 24 3845 2908, as well as the emergency hotline outside working hours: +84 24 3846 0856.

Signals and requests for assistance in emergency situations from Bulgarian citizens are also accepted 24/7 on the telephone lines of the Situation Center Directorate:
