Rain and snow expected on Thursday

On Thursday, the cloud cover will increase significantly, and rain showers will begin. There will be moderate winds. Strong and gusty westerly and northwesterly winds are expected in the Danubian Plain and the western part of the Upper Thracian Plain. In the evening, in Eastern Bulgaria, the wind will orientate from the north, bringing cold air. In Northeastern Bulgaria, rain will turn into snow, and in some places, a thin snow cover will form. The lowest temperatures will range between minus 2°C and 3°C, in Sofia around minus 1°C. The maximum temperatures will be between 9°C and 14°C, around 10°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, there will be significant cloud cover with snowfall. There will be strong to stormy northwesterly winds. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 4°C, at 2,000 m around minus 5°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, the cloud cover will be significant with rain showers, more frequent along the northern coastline. There will be moderate to strong northwesterly wind, shifting from the north in the evening, bringing cold air. Daytime highs will range between 9°C and 14°C. The seawater temperature will be 8°C -9°C. Sea state 2-3.
