Protest in Sofia demands rule of law

The Justice for All Initiative organized a protest march titled "Peevski Out of Power". It took place in central Sofia on the eve of Constitution Day, April 16. The citizens expressed their support for the constitutionally established principles of the separation of powers, the rule of law and the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms.

The organizers spoke out against the "widespread corruption that has taken over the state". "We are here because we have to be here. I believe that we, the young people, the students, just have to go out and fight for a better future. People around the world are doing this, and I think it's time for us to do it too—not only for the rights of animals, but for our own rights'', said the protesters.
