Karlos Nasar declared the best weightlifter in Europe

Karlos Nasar has been declared “Best Weightlifter in Europe” for 2024 in the rankings of the European Weightlifting Federation and the European branch of the International Sports Press Association.

The past year turned out to be the most successful in the career of the 20-year-old weightlifter – world record holder in the 89 kg category.

Karlos Nasar is the first Bulgarian to win a European, world and Olympic title within one calendar year. In addition, he set world records in the clean and jerk and in the snatch and remained unrivalled in all sports forums.

At the European Weightlifting Championships opening today in Chisinau, Karlos Nasar will compete in a new category – up to 96 kg.
