Weather forecast for 26 April

More afternoon showers over the weekend

On Saturday lows will be between 5 and 10°C, around 7°C in Sofia. Before noon it will be mostly sunny and calm. In the afternoon there will be isolated showers and thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures will be between 20 and 25°C, around 21°C in the capital.


In the mountains it will be mostly sunny until midday. In the afternoon, the sky will become cloudy. There will be short showers with thunderstorms. Snow will fall in places above 2,500 metres. Winds will be moderate to gusty from east-northeast. The maximum temperature will be around 16°C at 1,200 metres and around 6°C at 2,000 metres.


The Black Sea coast will be foggy in the morning and cloudy during the day. Maximum air temperatures will be between 14 and 18°C. The sea temperature will be 11-13°C. The sea will be calm.


Temperatures will fall on Sunday. There will be heavy rain and thunderstorms in north-western Bulgaria and during the day mainly in the western half of the country, while in the east the cloud cover will decrease.


The Balkans will be cloudy and rainy. In the Western Balkans and Greece, there will be significant rainfall.
