Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev discussed ways to boost trade and investment between Bulgaria and Poland during a meeting with representatives of the Polish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce.
On the first day of his visit to Warsaw, President Radev met with representatives of Polish and Bulgarian companies in sectors such as transport, energy, food processing, pharmaceuticals, defense, banking and insurance—companies that either significantly contribute to bilateral trade or are planning to invest in Bulgaria.
Rumen Radev emphasized the importance of maritime, mountain, cultural, ski and spa tourism for strengthening ties between Bulgaria and Poland, noting that in 2024 more than 430,000 Polish tourists visited Bulgaria.
President Radev outlined Bulgaria’s strategic location, stable banking system, fast-growing high-tech, robotics and mechatronics sectors, expanding industrial zones and favourable tax policy as advantages for investors.
The business representatives called for the development of north-south transport links, including the construction of motorways and bridges over the Danube River between Bulgaria and Romania. On April 29, President Radev will take part in the Three Seas Initiative Summit.
