Russia remains the main destabilizing factor in international security, it is emphasized in the report of the Military Intelligence Service for 2024, reports BGNES.

The overview notes that the global security environment is characterized by the growing militarization of international relations, the expansion of existing crises and the weakening of international legal institutions.

Russia continues to restrict freedom of navigation and air traffic in the Black Sea. Regardless of the outcome of the war in Ukraine, Moscow will continue to strengthen its aggressive policy, including in the Black Sea region, where Moldova and Georgia are most at risk.

Regarding the Western Balkans, it is noted that tension persists, and unlike North Macedonia, only Albania has made progress in European integration.
