For the third time, "Vazrazhdane" has submitted to the National Assembly a proposal to hold a referendum on preserving the Bulgarian lev with the question: “Do you agree to the Bulgarian Lev remaining the only official currency in Bulgaria until 2043?

Under current laws, the National Assembly does not have the right to reject the holding of a referendum, notes "Vazrazhdane".

The press release states that supporters of "Vazrazhdane" are organizing a “Public discussion on the forced introduction of the euro in Bulgaria” on May 16 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.

The event is being organized by Viktor Papazov and Petar Volgin, along with public figures and journalists Nedyalko Nedyalkov and Strahil Angelov.
