''On the eve of the Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army — May 6 — I address you with a sense of gratitude and appreciation. You fulfill your military duty with determination and contribute to strengthening the authority of the Bulgarian Army and our country in the international arena, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said during the traditional video conference with the Bulgarian military contingents participating in operations abroad. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the role of all the soldiers who are far from their homeland and wished them health, success and a safe return.

"I express my appreciation for your efforts in maintaining peace and security in the regions where we have deployed you. In containing instability in these areas, the Bulgarian Armed Forces will fulfill their role as a stabilizing factor together with our NATO and EU allies", Bulgaria’s Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov said in his address to the national commanders of the Bulgarian contingents abroad. Around 270 Bulgarian military personnel are participating in 3 NATO operations and 3 EU operations.
