Energy cooperation between Bulgaria and the US contributes to increasing energy security and diversification not only in our country, but also in Europe. This was what Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev said during the discussion "The Force in Action: Progress in Transatlantic Energy Cooperation". The forum is being held in Washington within the framework of the Munich Leaders Meeting, the Foreign Ministry announced.
"We welcome the strategic emphasis that the US places on supporting its allies and partners through reliable energy supplies and diversification. Bulgaria views this approach as fully consistent with our European efforts to ensure the security of energy supplies," Minister Georgiev said in his speech. "US liquefied natural gas plays a key role in strengthening our energy security and sustainability," he added.
