Bulgarian Prime Minister congratulates newly elected German Chancellor

With coordinated efforts, we continue to work for the unity and prosperity of the European continent, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov says in his congratulatory message to the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The congratulatory address to the German Chancellor highlights the strategic importance of cooperation between Bulgaria and Germany at the bilateral level and within the EU, NATO and international organizations, the Council of Ministers announced.

In his message, Zhelyazkov highlights the deep historical ties, common values, mutual respect and shared vision for a united, stable and prosperous Europe. According to the Prime Minister, unity, solidarity and joint actions within the EU are the most adequate response to the pressing issues of our time.
