Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov: Bulgaria meets all criteria for the eurozone

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has highlighted the stability of public finances as a key element on the country's path to Eurozone membership.

Speaking to Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank, Antonella Bassani, Zhelyazkov said that Bulgaria had covered all the criteria for membership in the eurozone and expects the preparation of extraordinary convergence reports by the European Commission and the European Central Bank. The Prime Minister welcomed the dialogue and cooperation with the World Bank and the two agreements for technical assistance and support for education and business in Northern Bulgaria.
