Burgas celebrated the feast of its celestial patron Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker

The spring St. Nicholas Day gathered hundreds of Burgas residents at Troikata Square, where cooks offered delicious fish soup, mussels, paella and pizza with octopus, reports BNR - Burgas. 


The feast in honour of the celestial patron saint of the port city - St. Nicholas the Wonderworker - is organised for the second year in a row. It began with a solemn mass in the churches of Burgas, and later the mayor Dimitar Nikolov greeted the inhabitants of the city. 


TV celebrity chef Ivan Zvezdev and his team distributed 1300 portions of aromatic fish soup and 250 portions of Spanish paella to the people of Burgas.


The world champions in pizza making from Parma - the Burgas pizza master Jayhan Jafferov and the gourmet chef Stefan Enchev prepared 400 pieces of their delicious pizza with octopus and prawns.
