Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 12 May 2025

Sun and rain on the first day of the week

On Monday before noon, sunny weather will prevail. In the afternoon, it will mainly rain in the southern half of the country. 

Minimum temperatures will be between 6°C and 11°C, in Sofia - about 6°C, and highs - between 16°C and 21°C, in Sofia - about 18°C.

In the mountains before noon, sunny weather will prevail. In the afternoon, in many places in the massifs of Western Bulgaria and the Rhodope Mountains, there will be short-term rainfall with thunderstorms. A moderate wind will blow from the west-northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be about 11°C, at 2,000 m - about 4°C.

On the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny. In the afternoon, there will be temporary increases in cloudiness, but without precipitation. Maximum temperatures will be 16°C-18°C - the same as the degrees of sea water. 

In the Balkans, in the morning hours, it will be mostly sunny over most areas. In the afternoon, cumulus and cumulus-rainy clouds will develop over the western half of the peninsula and in places, mostly in the mountains and mountainous areas, it will rain. 

In Athens, it will be 24 °C, in Istanbul – 21°C, in Belgrade – 18°C, in Bucharest – 16°C.
