Rain will begin in the western half of the country on Thursday night and spread across the whole country during the day. Cooler air will also move in. Maximum temperatures will range from 12°C in the west to 20°C in the east, with around 12°C in Sofia.
There will be cloud and rain in the mountains, with snow falling above 1800–2000 m, and a moderate to strong south-westerly wind will blow, shifting to the north-west in the afternoon and bringing cold air. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 9°C and around 5°C at 2,000 m.
The Black Sea coast will be cloudy with rain in the afternoon. A moderate south-southeast wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will range from 16°C to 19°C and sea temperatures will range from 14°C to 16°C. Sea conditions will be 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.
