Alessandro Baricco’s immortal story “Without Blood” in the theatrical adaptation by Alexander Sekulov won the Bulgarian “Askeer” theatre awards in three categories - for best performance, for direction and for costume design. The production is part of the two-year international project “Manifest” of the Drama Theater – Plovdiv and the National Theater “Jordan Hadzhikonstantinov – Dzinot” – Veles. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministries of Culture in Bulgaria and North Macedonia and the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Center in Skopje.

The awards were presented on the evening of May 24, the Day of Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture for the 34th time at the Theater of the Bulgarian Army.

Actor Marin Yanev and director Ivaylo Hristov received the two major “Askeer” awards for their overall contribution to theatrical art.
