The summer season for 2025 has officially begun some “20 kilometres from Burgas”, as a popular song goes – in Pomorie. “Pomorie is well established on the tourist map of Bulgaria, and offers an excellent combination of sea, history, culture, balneo and spa,” the Ministry of Tourism says.

The main focus of the ministry this year is on promoting a diverse and sustainable tourist product, combining nature, cultural heritage and a high-quality of services. The start to the summer season was given by Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh, in whose words Pomorie offers a blend of tradition and modern development.
Besides the official part there will also be a rich cultural programme. At 6.20 PM the national flag will be hoisted at the fishing port, together with the Bulgarian navy, alongside the so-called blue flag Pomorie was awarded a few days ago. The blue flag is an acknowledgement of the special efforts made to preserve the environment.
