President Rumen Radev and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed expanding transport, energy, and digital connectivity between Bulgaria and Turkey during a phone call, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency reported, citing the presidential press office. The two leaders emphasised that improving these connections is crucial not only for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and mutual investment but also for benefiting the entire region.
Radev and Erdogan agreed that the development of friendly relations between the two countries stimulates partnership in all areas of mutual interest. The presidents also gave a positive assessment of the bilateral partnership on security, including the fight against illegal migration.
