President Rumen Radev and Vice President Iliana Yotova will take part this evening in the commemoration of the 149th anniversary of the brave actions of poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev and his chetnicks. The event will take place in Vratsa, the presidential press office announced. The Chair of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Atanas Zapryanov, have also been invited to the ceremony.
At 9:00 p.m. in Hristo Botev Square, the head of state will deliver a speech on the occasion of Botev Day and in honor of those who died for Bulgaria’s freedom and independence. This will be followed by a solemn military tattoo and fireworks display, with the participation of service members from the 10th Mechanized Battalion – Vratsa and the Representative Military Brass Band of the Land Forces.
