There is no direct danger for Bulgaria after the escalation in the Middle East, the Bulgarian Council of Ministers announced.

After the large-scale Israeli strikes on strategic targets in Iran, the situation in Israel is currently calm. People are even moving freely on the streets, journalist Vessela Raichinova, director of the Art Salon "Seli" and organizer of the International Festival "Bulgarian Soul of the Holy Land", told Radio Bulgaria. Raichinova quoted Israeli media that drones were launched from Iran, which were intercepted by the air defense of the Jewish state.
Bulgaria must stay neutral. This is how the leader of "Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria" Atanas Atanasov commented on what Bulgaria's position should be in the crisis. According to the MP, at this stage there are no risks to Bulgarian national security.

"The development of the process there is planned by both sides. Of course, our intelligence services must carefully monitor the situation and inform the state authorities," Atanasov also pointed out.

The Vazrazhdane party issued a parliamentary declaration against the Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets.
