"There is a concrete plan for the evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from Israel, but we are waiting for the optimal moment", Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov told journalists in the town of Simitli (Southwestern Bulgaria).

"A concrete decision will be made based on analyses. It is a matter of planning and the decision will be taken together with the relevant services", said Premier Zhelyazkov, as quoted by BTA. There are six Bulgarians in Iran, part of Bulgaria’s diplomatic mission, who have not requested evacuation assistance, but if necessary, the government is ready", Bulgaria’s Prime Minister added. Rosen Zhelyazkov once again emphasized that at the moment, there is no direct threat to the national security of the country due to the conflict in the Middle East.
