Bulgaria, as a long-standing and responsible member of the EU and as the upcoming rotating chairman of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), will continue to be a constructive and responsible partner in achieving a common future that is in the interest of all citizens of the region.

This was stated by President Rumen Radev in Tirana, at the meeting of the heads of state of the regional cooperation format, BTA reported.

In 2026, the SEECP will celebrate 30 years since the establishment of the initiative in Sofia in 1996.

"Bulgaria will chair for the fourth time and we will not only build on everything achieved so far, but we will also strive to be constructive, with responsibility to work to solve all the challenges in the region that we all face," the head of state emphasized.
