The forum “Diplomacy of Wonders - the most ancient wonders of Bulgaria and Turkey” was held in Sofia, organized by the Embassy of Turkey and Europa Nostra – Bulgaria

An exhibition was presented in Sofia as part of the forum with archaeologically significant sites in Bulgaria and Turkey such as Göbekli Tepe, Provadia-Solnitsa and Ada Tepe, digital exhibits from the National Library, as well as the traditional Turkish art of Ebru water painting.

I believe that such events build the future – calmly, wisely, with respect between nations, said Minister of Culture Marian Bachev at the forum. “Cultural diplomacy is the most powerful means of bringing countries closer together. It does not speak with words, it speaks with experience, with emotion, with memories,” said Bachev.

Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Uyanık pointed out that in 2024, over 3 million Bulgarians visited Turkey, and over 2.3 million Turks have been to Bulgaria

"Tourism is a clear reflection of the interest that our peoples show in each other," the diplomat added.
