Aerospace Engineering is one of the new degree programs recently introduced at the Technical University in Sofia. Taught in English, the programme was launched last year with 16 students enrolled — 11 international and 5 Bulgarian. During the first two years, students study core engineering subjects before moving on to specialised courses.
In an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio, Professor Ivan Kralov, the Technical University's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, explained that the programme offers excellent career prospects and favourable conditions for young people. He added that demand for such specialists is expected to rise sharply in the near future as many areas within the field have important civilian applications and are becoming increasingly relevant.
