Bulgaria tops medal standings at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships in Sofia

Bulgaria topped the medal standings at the 3rd FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships in Sofia. The team won a total of six medals – four gold and two bronze ones. The Bulgarian gymnasts became world champions in the all-around, as well as in the final with five hoops. With five pairs of clubs they won bronze medal. In the individual routines, Magdalena Valkova became the world champion with hoop and bronze medalist with ribbon.

Kazakhstan placed second in the medal standings with two gold medals and one silver. Ukraine is third with two medals – a gold and a bronze. They are followed by Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Egypt, Italy, the United States, China, Poland, Estonia, Georgia and Uzbekistan. A total of 13 countries won medals at the world championships out of 69 participating countries.
