An album showcasing traditional folk costumes from the seven regions of the Wallachia area in Romania was presented at the Giurgiu County Museum. The catalogue, titled Ethnographic Collection of the “Teohari Antonescu” Museum in Giurgiu – Folk Costumes and Household Textiles, includes a special section dedicated to the traditional attire and woven textiles of the Bulgarian community in the village of Băleni-Sârbi, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.

The authors of the publication are museologist Alexandra Cristica and ethnologist Mădălina Cojocariu. The foreword was written by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paula Popoiu, Director of the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum in Bucharest — one of the largest open-air ethnographic museums in the world. The catalogue is available in both Romanian and English.

Bulgarians who have lived for centuries in Băleni-Sârbi, Dâmbovița County, Romania, continue to preserve their traditions, language, and cultural identity to this day. The local association “Bălgarska Radost” (Bulgarian Joy) actively works to safeguard Bulgarian culture and customs.
